Trade Breakdown: How I Made $1,120 Selling TSLL Puts (and How You Can Spot These Setups Too)

This week I collected $1,120 in pure premium selling a cash-secured put on TSLL.
Let’s break down exactly how this trade worked—and more importantly, why it worked.

This is the kind of trade we focus on inside Freedom Income Options because it’s simple, repeatable, and designed to help you replace your paycheck with consistent weekly income.

🧠 The Trade Setup

  • Ticker: TSLL (2x Tesla ETF)
  • Strategy: Cash-Secured Put
  • Strike Sold: $10
  • Premium Collected: $0.56 per contract
  • Contracts Sold: 20
  • Total Premium: $1,120
  • Outcome: TSLL stayed above $10 → kept 100% of the premium

🧠 Why I Took This Trade

Here’s what I saw in the chart (see image below for reference):

📊 [Insert chart image]

  • TSLL was basing tightly in a consolidation range just above $10
  • Support around $10 was tested and holding
  • The Stochastic RSI was turning up—momentum building
  • Price action was compressing into a potential breakout
  • No major earnings or news risks for the week

This gave me confidence that $10 would hold.
So I sold 20 cash-secured puts at the $10 strike and collected $0.56 per contract, or $1,120 total.

If TSLL closed below $10? I’d own shares I’m comfortable holding.
If not? I’d simply walk away with the premium.

📈 Why This Strategy Works So Well

Selling cash-secured puts is about three things:

  1. Being paid to buy stocks you already want to own
  2. Letting time decay work in your favor
  3. Stacking small wins over and over again

This TSLL trade had a favorable risk/reward and was backed by clean technical structure. That’s the formula we repeat every week.

🔁 How You Can Repeat This Setup

Use this checklist when screening trades:

✅ Pick stocks or ETFs with strong support zones
✅ Sell a put strike below or at that support
✅ Make sure premium is worth it (target 1–2% of strike)
✅ Short-term expiration (5–10 days)
✅ Only sell if you're willing to own the stock

Combine that with proper position sizing and risk management, and you’ve got a blueprint for replacing your paycheck—one week at a time.

🔒 Final Thought

This is the same setup I use every week—and the same one we teach in Freedom Income Options.

This isn’t theory. This is how we help traders build reliable income—without day trading, guessing, or gambling.
